Summer Activites

Open Bowling (Drop-in)

Open Bowling occurs 4 times weekly: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
We always bowl Sunday afternoons, commencing at 1:00 PM. If you prefer evening bowls we also offer bowling on Sunday at 6:30 PM.
On Wednesdays & Fridays during the shoulder seasons we bowl in the afternoons meeting at 1:00 PM for a 1:30 PM start.
Generally, during July & August we meet at 9:00 AM for a 9:30 AM start in order to avoid the heat of the day.
We have also added Thursday evening bowls, again at 6:30 PM.
Open Bowling is always mixed teams put together by our Draw Master who tries to balance the teams' skill levels by those in attendance.
You will get to meet and bowl with different people when you attend.
The focus is on fun enjoying the company of others.
You may come as often as you like without arranging for spares - just "drop in" and get your name placed on the Draw Table.

In addition to open lawn bowling, the Vernon Lawn Bowling Club also offers a variety of other events.
Our Tournament Director, Dave Horsham, and his Committee have been busy over the winter months, re-working the Schedule of Play.
Check out the "2017 Schedule of Play" tab for further details.
As you will see, there are a variety of events you may wish to take part in.
